Katie Blackbourn Brown
Katie Blackbourn Brown Yoga Instructor
Katie began practicing yoga over 2 decades ago. Though her life has taken many different twists and turns, yoga has been the practice that she has always come back to and has been a guiding force in her life.

Teaching for the last 7+ years, she obtained her 200-hour training through Alignment Yoga of Madison almost 4 years ago. This training was the catalyst for some incredible growth and change on a personal level as well as in her yoga practice.

She believes that yoga has the power to be transformative on a holistic level: physically, mentally, and energetically. In fact, through a combination of yoga and a whole-foods diet, she has successfully managed several autoimmune diseases for years. She loves examining functional movement patterns and exploring the body’s relationship to gravity — working with nature, instead of against it. Give her a chance and she’ll be happy to talk your ear off about her kids, her husband, her pets, wine, whole foods, or squirrels!
